Speed Class

Speed Classes are designed for anyone looking to get faster, fitter and healthier. While these workout are group in nature, they are individualized to each runner’s abilities.  All workout results are recorded and used to build a fitness profile that allow coaches to plan future workouts.

Speed Classes are open to runners of all abilities.  The sessions are constructed so that you’ll be running with runners of similar abilities.

Training Sessions:

All of our workout routes have been measured using a USATF approved measuring instrument to ensure accuracy. A complete six week schedule of workouts , time trials and races can be viewed here. 

The workouts will focus on the following:

1. Technique - Improved technique results in increased strength, range of motion and efficiency. You will be much more economical and much less prone to injury.  

2. VO2 Max - A measure of the body’s ability to deliver oxygen rich blood to muscles. Speed Classes and their rigorous workouts will result in improved VO2 Max.

3. Tempo/Lactate Threshold/Strength - Targeted workouts will improve pace discipline, concentration and focus. 

Central Park Spring Training Program Saturday Session is offered Saturday 9:00AM. A full program description will be given in advance including location and workout details. Sessions begins 5/4/24 and ends 7/6/24.

Saturday Sessions are $150 for the 10 week program.

Central Park Spring Training Program is offered Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00PM and Saturday at 9:00AM. A full program description will be given in advance including location and workout details. Sessions begins 4/30/24 and ends 7/6/24.

Prospect Park, Brooklyn Spring Training is offered on Monday and Wednesday at 6:45PM. A full program description will be given in advance including location and workout details. Sessions begins 4/29/24 and ends 7/3/24.

The cost of the 10 week program is $299.
